#3: Honda Civic
Switching gears here, our 3rd spot goes to the smaller passenger vehicle – the Honda Civic. It is likely that you won’t spend a day on the roads without seeing a Civic in your area.
This Honda model has also remained strong in the sales department, and this year has been no exception. Perhaps due to its affordable nature, it has continued to strive for and achieve first place recognition among top passenger vehicles across Canada.

Even with the addition of the two new mid-sized trucks from GMC and Chevrolet this year, the Sierra has remained at the top of its game in terms of sales.

On the heels of the Honda Civic, in the passenger compact car category, is the Corolla. This Toyota model is one of the more desired vehicle choices for drivers who prefer compact cars, as it boasts one of the roomier interior vehicle options for its size.

#7: Hyundai Elantra
Making way for another compact passenger car, is the Hyundai Elantra. While the Elantra’s sales fell slightly in 2015, now sitting behind both the Corolla and the Civic, it still maintains its status as Hyundai’s top Canadian model. In addition to this accolade, the Elantra rounds out the top ten vehicles of the year and a preferred choice for many drivers in Canada.
Yet again, we see another pickup truck sneaking into the top ten list. The second full-sized truck to make the cut is the Chevrolet Silverado. As the 2015 Canadian sales for this vehicle would suggest, this Chevy had one of the fastest growing truck sales in the early part of 2015.
#9: Dodge Grand Caravan Minivan
The only vehicle in the minivan category to make it into the top ten is the Dodge Grand Caravan. While in the past this minivan may have been positioned a bit higher, it has slide to the 9th spot in 2015. Obviously, this minivan made the list for a reason – it is still one of the most desired vans in Canada as well as the second best-selling 2015 vehicle for the Fiat-Chrysler Group.
#10: Toyota RAV4
Grabbing hold of the 10th and final place on this list is another popular SUV model. With a diverse range of Toyota SUV sizes to choose from, the RAV4 crossover SUV has edged out its larger counterparts, the highlander and the 4Runner. Bumping the Mazda 3 compact car down from last year’s 10th to 12th spot this year, the RAV4 has domineered this year in sales and may suggest that compact SUVs will continue to climb the list in 2016.
